While I was in Calgary I had a free hour or so and decided to do some site seeing. I went past my old schools and even drove downtown. Things looked the same but seemed so different than I remember.
This is my old Junior High School. It was originally built out of sandstone. It is a French immersion school now.
This is my old high school....Crescent Heights High. It looks just like it did when I went there. I remember spending lots of time outside this door with my friends.....sometimes instead of going to class.
I drove past the park to the edge of the hill where there is a beautiful view of downtown Calgary. This is the spot where kids used to go to "park". It's a very busy road now and the parking spots are paved. It's now a popular spot for families to go to watch fireworks and get a great view of the city.
I even took a drive downtown past the Calgary Tower. It sure brought back memories.....
I made glass flowers for my two daughter-in-laws Stephanie and Ryanne.
My granddaughter Madisynne loves having her picture taken. Since I live so far away from my family I try to make a special day for each of my grandkids. This was "our day".
I hope you enjoyed a look into my past. Thanks for stopping by!
:)
